Bournemouth West Leaseholder Survey
Since my election, the government has been taking steps to reform the outdated leasehold system, affecting millions of people around the country. To date, this has included capping ground rents at £250, making it easier to extend leases at a fair rate and empowering leaseholders to manage their own properties. Yet, too many are still affected by rogue managing agents and out of control charges.
The government has now announced its Moving to Commonhold consultation to meet our ambition to end leasehold and make commonhold the default tenure. You can find all the details of the proposals here: https://www.gov.uk/government/consultations/moving-to-commonhold-banning-leasehold-for-new-flats
I want to hear directly from leaseholders about their experiences and what changes they would like to see. I am particularly determined to tackle the issue of rogue managing agents in our constituency. I want to hear the experiences of those affected and gather evidence so I can call the worst offenders into Parliament and hold them to account.

I look forward to hearing from you and working together to secure a better deal for leaseholders in Bournemouth West.
