This Friday, Jessica met business leaders from the Bournemouth Chamber of Trade and Commerce to discuss the local business environment, including local business priorities and challenges.
Around 30 local businesses in hospitality, health, manufacturing, utilities, finance and professional services were represented.
In anticipation of the Chancellor's Budget, Jessica discussed Labour's plans to support small businesses and introduce the Employment Rights Bill.
In the preceding week, Jessica also took time to meet with Ian Girling at the Dorset Chamber and Paul Kinvig from the Town Centre BID to discuss business concerns in Bournemouth and across Dorset.
Jessica also met with Secretary of State for Business and Trade Jonathan Reynolds to discuss the ongoing role that business will have in the development of and consultation on key issues in the Employment Rights Bill.
The Chancellors Budget will be announced on 30 October.
